These Terms of Use govern your use of shops.plus — our beauty and wellness directory, our member portal, and the pages about our salon suites. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who may use the site

You must be at least 16 years old to use this site, and at least 18 to create an account, claim a listing, or submit a leasing enquiry. If you use the site for a business, you confirm you are authorised to act for it.

2. What the directory is — and is not

Our directory helps consumers find beauty, wellness, and aesthetic professionals in Washington State. It is an information service. Specifically:

• A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or verification of any business, and does not mean we have inspected it, used it, or confirmed its qualifications.
• We do not verify professional licences, certifications, insurance, or qualifications, and we do not confirm that a business is currently operating.
• We are not a party to any dealing between you and a business you find here. Any appointment, purchase, treatment, dispute, or payment is strictly between you and that business.
• Ranking, ordering, and placement may reflect relevance, data completeness, and paid placement. Where placement is paid, we label it.

3. Accuracy of listings

Most listings were compiled from publicly available sources rather than submitted by the business. Information may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong — including hours, services, pricing, contact details, and whether the business is still trading. Ratings and review counts reflect what was publicly available when we collected them and may not match the source today.

Always confirm details directly with the business before relying on them, and especially before booking or travelling.

4. Review-derived insights

Some listings show insights — what a business is known for, who it may suit, recurring themes, and potential considerations — produced by automated, AI-assisted analysis of publicly available reviews in aggregate. We do not publish review text or reviewer names.

• These insights describe patterns across many reviews. They are opinions held by reviewers in aggregate, not statements of fact about any business or any individual visit.
• Automated analysis can be wrong or can lack context. Treat insights as a starting point, not a conclusion.
• Insights are independent of the business. A business cannot edit them and cannot pay to alter, hide, or remove them — including the “considerations.” Paid features are strictly additive.

A business that believes an insight is materially inaccurate may write to [email protected]. We will review it and may correct, re-analyse, or remove it. We will not remove an insight solely because it is unflattering.

5. Claiming and managing a listing

If you claim a listing, you represent that you are authorised to act for that business, and you agree that:

• everything you publish is accurate, not misleading, and kept up to date — including services, pricing, and hours;
• you hold every licence, certification, registration, and insurance your services require under Washington law, and you will not describe services you are not licensed to provide;
• you own or have permission to use everything you upload, including photographs of clients, and you have any consent needed to publish before-and-after or client images;
• you will not impersonate another business, claim a listing you are not authorised for, or publish another business’s content as your own;
• your response to reviews will not disclose confidential client information or personal or health details about any client.

We may reject, suspend, edit, or remove any listing or claim — including for inaccuracy, abuse, or an unverified claim.

6. Content you provide

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, and display that content in order to operate and promote the directory and the site. You can end this licence for future use by removing the content or asking us to remove your listing; we may retain copies in backups for a reasonable period.

You are responsible for your content and confirm it does not infringe anyone’s rights, breach any duty of confidence, or break any law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-copy the directory or any part of it, or use automated means to access the site except for well-behaved search-engine crawlers;
• resell, republish, or redistribute directory content, or use it to build a competing database;
• submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including a claim to a business you do not represent;
• upload anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene, or anything containing malware;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with the site’s operation;
• use contact details from the directory to send unsolicited marketing;
• use the site to infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.

8. Requesting correction or removal

If your business appears here and you did not submit it, you may claim it and correct it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it entirely — at no cost. Write to [email protected] from an address associated with the business, or otherwise show that you are authorised to act for it. We do not charge for removal and will never require a purchase to correct or remove a listing.

9. Salon suites, pricing, and the founding list

Information on this site about our salon suites — layouts, amenities, pricing, timelines, and availability — is provided for general information and is subject to change. In particular:

• The property is in development. Renderings, floor plans, and sample layouts are representative concepts, not a promise of the finished space.
• Dates we publish for construction, tours, leasing, and opening are current expectations and may move.
• Nothing on this site is an offer to lease, a lease, or a reservation of any suite. Only a signed written agreement creates any obligation between us.
• Joining the founding list is free and creates no obligation on either side. It does not guarantee acceptance, a particular suite, particular pricing, or any business outcome.
• We make no representation about the income, client volume, or results any business may achieve.

10. No professional advice

The site, including articles, guides, calculators, and directory content, is for general information only. It is not medical, health, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional. Some categories in our directory involve medical or health-related services; whether any treatment is appropriate for you is a decision for you and a qualified provider. Never disregard professional advice because of something you read here.

11. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

12. Intellectual property

The site, our name, logo, design, text, and the compilation and organisation of the directory are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, adapt, or reuse our content commercially without our written permission.

13. Third-party links and services

The site links to and embeds third-party services and websites, including maps, social feeds, and businesses’ own booking pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, products, services, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that directory content is accurate, complete, or current.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or your dealings with any business listed on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the site, your content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

17. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site, or remove any content or listing, at any time and without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or if we need to protect the site or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive — including sections 6, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 18 — survive termination.

18. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. 19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services change or as the law requires. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top, and significant changes will be made clear on the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
